Pre-Season Clinics for Colonel Crawford Summer Swim Team Members will be offered starting Monday, April 6th. The clinics will be held Monday, Tuesday, & Thursday for 4 weeks. The fee is $25.00 plus the team/GMAC fee. The clinics are not for beginner swimmers as we will be working on all four strokes and building endurance.
We offer 3 different sessions based on ability/age. These are only approximate ages. A quick tryout can help with placement into the correct stroke clinic for their ability if I'm not familiar with your swimming.
Approx. ages 8-12 years old 6:00-7:00 PM
The Intermediate Stroke Clinic is designed for swimmers who have basic knowledge of the competitive strokes but want to improve their competitive swimming skills before their summer swim team practices start. Swimmers will be working on all aspects of the competitive stroke technique, drills, turns, starts, finishes, along with some endurance work. Swimmers should be able to swim 25 yards of freestyle and backstroke without stopping.
Approx. ages 10-18 years old 4:30-6:00 PM
The Advanced Stroke Clinic is a 4 week stroke development and correction program for those swimmers with at least one season of experience on a competitive team and who can swim all four strokes for at least 50 yards each and able to complete a 100 IM successfully. This group is also for junior high/high school swimmers participating in a spring sport and cannot come during junior high/high school time.
Approx. ages 13-18 years old 3:00-4:30 PM
The Junior High & High School Stroke Clinic is for current or incoming high school/junior high swimmers not participating on a spring sports team. We will work on conditioning and endurance with stroke work refinement.
